Lucinda had finally drifted into a fitful sleep. Sometime during the night, she felt a draft, then rolled sideways until she pressed against something warm. She snuggled against it, sighing happily. Too soon, light blazed against her eyelids and she scrunched them tighter together, hoping to block it out. Slowly, she drifted out of the slumber that cradled her, becoming aware of strong arms embracing her and her face resting against silken skin cushioning rock hard muscles. Something tickled her nose and she opened her eyes to see dark curls on a male chest.
Her body stiffened.
“Good morning.” The words were spoken softly but in a definite male voice. The voice of the sexy stranger she’d discovered in Paris last night.
“I… You…” She pulled against his embrace but to no avail. “You shouldn’t be here.”
“Why not?”
The feel of his skin pressed the length of hers threw her senses way off balance.
“Well, it’s not proper.” No, that didn’t come out right. “I mean, I don’t even know you.”
He kissed her forehead. “Of course you do. We met a few hours ago.”
“That’s not what I meant and you know it,” she flared.
She wiggled her arms between them and flattened her hands on his chest. His chest hair tickled her palms, but not in a way that made her want to laugh. The feel of it stimulated her senses to new heights.
“You can’t tell me you don’t want me here.” He nuzzled her hair, sending sparks ricocheting through her.
She wanted to push her hands against him, but her muscles refused to obey.
“I don’t want you here.” Her voice sounded weak.
He grinned. “Truthfully.”
His amusement annoyed her. “Look, if we’re going to work together, we’ll need to get a few things straight. Like, you don’t invade my private space. Okay?”
“Private space?”
“That’s right. For instance, stay out of my bedroom!”

The bond with him was almost overwhelming in its power, which is why Lucinda didn't trust it. But not everything is as it seems. As Nyte tries to get his memory back and figure out who he is and why he hates Randolph so passionately, he also works hard to woo Lucinda because he knows they were meant to be together.A fun book filled with magic and a light mystery. The characters aren't as well developed as I might have liked, but it was a fun read nonetheless. Definitely worth a try.

Lucinda Divine was a wizard, she had a mentor named Rand, he was suppose to be her Lovebond, but it never seems to feel like it. Lucinda got a calling to go to be a mentor, of which she never thought would happen. She shows up, and in an alley she meets her charge, a naked man. Lucinda thought it was suppose to be a baby. She popped back to her place and it seems he doesn't know who he is and where he was. He definitely keeps trying to seduce her. Lucinda knows this isn't suppose to be. Why does she have this attraction to him and what about Rand?
Rand came to visit Lucinda and tell her he felt that Nyte had returned. Rand saw her guest and was upset telling her he wasn't what he seems.
I like this book because I love magic and wizards. The story between Nyte and Luce is great and I love the way she tries to hide her feeling for him.
I have not read anything by Amber Carew before and I am looking forward to read more.
Ok, so there are wizards, but the story doesn't really explain anything about their society. And there is like some kind of True Bond, but the story really doesn't explain that either. And there might be aliens..or maybe they are gods from a different planet, but i am not quite sure. And i think there was a bad guy, but not really, it may have been a misunderstanding. And people might be related to other people, but who can remember. I am almost positive there was sex in the book.
Yep..that sums up the book. Maybe you should pass.
